SupperUp is committed to incorporating sustainable practices into every aspect of our business. We are proud to work with suppliers that also share in this commitment.
Minimizing Our Carbon Footprint
Did you know that meal kits have a smaller carbon footprint than regular grocery shopping? According to Science Direct, store meals produce 33% more greenhouse gas emissions than their meal kit equivalents. With a direct supply chain delivered to your door, we’re able to keep our carbon footprint low.
Storage And Shipping
More than 80% of the energy powering our storage and shipping facilities is powered by onsite solar.
Our shipper and insulation are 100% recyclable. We were the first in the industry to adopt this technology and many have since followed suit.
Why We Use Dry Ice
We ship our meals frozen on dry ice. Dry ice is made of solid CO2 that does not contribute to the greenhouse effect. Plus there’s nothing to throw out unlike the gel packs commonly used by other companies. Bonus: it can be repurposed as a fun science experiment for the kiddos!
